Q.				How will I know if my policy is a With Profits policy?
A.				If you receive a bonus statement each year from the Life Office, your policy is a With Profits policy.
Q.				What type of policies do you accept?
A.				We accept Traditional With Profits Endowments and Whole of Life Policies.
Q.				Do you accept Unit Linked Policies?
A.				Unfortunately these are not currently tradeable.
Q.				How can I find out my policy’s surrender value?
A.				You will need to contact the Life Office and they will normally give this figure over the telephone.
Q.				Can you find out my policy’s surrender value for me?
A.				No. As we did not introduce the business, your Insurance Company will not provide us with any information.
Q.				Why do I need to tell you my surrender value?
A.				The Market Makers need a surrender value. Without it they cannot provide us with a valuation.
Q.				How much above the surrender value can I expect?
A.				Difficult to say, every policy is different, but it will be worthwhile.
Q.				How does it work, what happens now?
A.				We will evaluate your policy to see whether we are able to secure an offer for it. If we can find an offer for your policy, we will let you know as soon as possible. We aim to make our paperwork clear and easy to follow. If you have any questions about it or are unsure of anything, please call us on 0845 644 2729.
Q.				Do I have to go ahead with the sale if you make me a bid?
A.				No. There is no obligation whatsoever.
Q.				How long before I get my money?
A.				When you accept an offer from us it is a legal process to sell your policy and will take approximately 6 - 8 weeks to go through. These time frames can fluctuate depending on the Life Office involved.
Q.				How much do you charge?
A.				Our fees are paid by the policy buyers. The amount shown on your offer will be the amount you get, providing the policy details are correct and bonus rates don't change.
